This dream became a reality in 2009. Since that time, Custom Canines Service Dog Academy, driven by Nicole’s passion, dedication, and heart, has placed over 100 service dogs with individuals and/or families. These placements have allowed children, teens, and adults to live an enhanced life, with a working partner that is their guide or companion in all they do. It is this partnership and life enhancement that drives Nicole to work relentless hours and with no monetary compensation. Her heart beats to help others.​
